I feel like shit, I can't find my mobile phone, I'm super dizzy, I missed going shopping with

raz0rgirl, I'm not at the football game because I feel like such crap, someone is smoking outside my living room window (and not just cigarettes, I don't think), and the lock is broken on the main door to the building. It's been a great day so far.

So have first and last lines of the stories I posted so far this year.

1. "Trouble in the Wind", The Fast and the Furious, Letty/Dom

First: She can feel it in the air like a fucking wind storm waiting to happen – like that moment when the hills are on fire and the wind starts to blow, feeding the flames, fanning them, sending them crashing into the valleys to devour the homes.
Last: That’s why she nods, and listens to his plan even as the storm rolls in.

2. "The Night, the Moon, and You", The Baby-Sitters Club, Abby/Mallory

First: It was kind of like birds flocking, the way the soccer team moved as one big mass when they ran.
Last: Moonlight in the window, and Elvis on her tv, and a cute girl holding her hand. There were worse ways to spend the night.

3. "It Was Totally the Wine, I Swear", Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel/One Tree Hill, Angel/Buffy/Haley/Nathan

First: If anyone ever asks, Haley's going to blame the wine.
Last: Yeah, it was definitely the fucking wine. It's a good thing Haley loves to drink.

First: “So you really think your dad’s going to buy you a car for your birthday?” Mallory asked, and when I nodded, she sighed and rolled onto her back. “You’re so lucky.”
Last: “You’re even beautiful when you’re a sweaty, languid mess,” she said and right then, at that moment, it was the greatest compliment in the world.

First: Star lives in a world without vampires.
Last: This is fate, and I was a monster, and maybe I will help save the world.

First: Dawn tried so hard to be as good as a Slayer.
Last: Kissing her after that was better than sticking all the tricks in the world.

7. "flat is the world", The Baby-Sitters Club, Stacey/Dawn

First: The world was flat.
Last: From the look on her face, she knew.

8. "I See What You Did There", Stick It/Bring It On, Haley/Missy

First: "Did you see what those archeology students found in Britain?"
Last: Missy just grinned, and leaned in for another kiss.

9. "Fortunetelling", Supernatural/The Lost Boys, Missouri/Star

First: Missouri is naked and the sunlight coming through her curtains is warm.
Last: Star cries out when she comes, and through her thoughts, Missouri can see the future.

10. "Like a Sheep from the Fold (The Super Sweet Sixteen Remix)", X-Men movieverse, Gambit

First: Jean’s dead.
Last: It is strange to see them and know Jean will never be a pretty girl, a vibrant girl, a live girl again.

11. "We Live It, We Breathe It, Buffy the Vampire Slayer/The Fast and the Furious, Letty/Faith, Letty/Mia, Letty/Dominic

First: "Jesse's dead."
Last: She was Letty the Vampire Slayer and she had work to do.

First: It's really not fair, or logical, but Letty hates Brian.
Last: Letty really fucking hates Brian.

13. "Paradise (The Early in the Morning Mix)", Blue Crush, Eden

First: Anne Marie talked in her sleep.
Last: “You too.” It’s not what she wanted to say, but it had to be enough.

14. "Like a Flower Leaning Toward the Sun, Bend It Like Beckham, Jules

First: America’s bloody hot.
Last: Joe’s waiting with their parents, all four of them, at the airport, and Jules really wants to scream.

15. "The Cause of Trouble", Lilo and Stitch, Lilo/Myrtle

First: There’s something different about Lilo, but Nani couldn’t quite put her finger on it.
Last: There’s something different about Lilo. Nani didn’t quite know what to do about it.

First: The campout was a bad idea, probably one of the worst Lilo had ever had, and she had a lot of them.
Last: Nani was going to miss Buffy the Vampire Slayer, silly name and monsters and all.

First: The thing about being a witch is, eventually, you stop being afraid.
Last: Some girls just don’t want to be saved.

18. "Hesitate (Before the End)", Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Kendra/Drusilla, Kendra/Buffy

First: There are stories in the bones.
Last: So it’s the end of the world again, Buffy thinks. At least she’s not all alone, not the only girl in all the world.

19. "In the Memory (Sunshine, Salt, and Sand)", The Lost Boys, Star/Maria

First: Maria tastes like the ocean, still, salty and ever so slightly bitter.
Last: Star kisses her and wishes she still craved blood.

20. "See What You Want", X-Men movieverse, Bobby/Rogue, Kitty/Rogue

First: Bobby lays his arm across the back of the couch.
Last: It’s horrible, to love someone you can’t have.

21. "She's Gonna Save the World Before Dinner (The Mirror in the Hall Mix)", Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Making Out, Claire, Nina

First: The same two strands of hair fell out of Claire’s ponytail for the third time in an hour.
Last: Faith was coming to visit, Nina knew. When she did, Nina was going to ask if it ever got any better, killing something with a human face.

22. "Molten Metal and Miniature Trees", Circle of Magic, Daja and Briar

First: Daja was in mourning.
Last: That's what they did.

Trends? Well, I like to reference the beginning at the end. I also like to do last lines as short lines in a paragraph all their own for most dramatic impact.

Now back to searching for my phone and trying not to throw up.
