[writing] Fast and the Furious/Buffy the Vampire Slayer

After writing the Letty the Vampire Slayer section from "Ten Slayers Who Never Were (The Of All The Women In All The World Mix)", [livejournal.com profile] nikitangel and I were talking about Letty as a Slayer and how she relates to Faith and how she would relate to her old life. This led to some ideas for a possible story, not just a little scene.

Tonight I went to bed, was struck with an image from it, and have now written over 1000 words, with no sign of an end. They aren't even in California, yet. Good grief. I'm going to have to stop soon, I was exhausted at 8 p.m. and now am absolutely shattered, but I love the story so far.

Favorite bit:

"Stay put," she hissed. "I'm coming."

"Thank you." Mia's voice dropped into a whisper. "Thank you. I need help, Letty, I don't know what to do."

"I'll take care of you, girl."

Letty waited for Mia's goodbye, waited for the click as she ended the call, and then, with the memory of the sound of home lingering in her ear, she ground the phone into little pieces of broken plastic and bits of metal, electronic skin and bones.

Then she went out slaying.

I love destroying the phone as the physical manifestation of her feelings. She's breaking down, her family is breaking down, of course she wants to destroy something.

Yay! I so love that you're actually writing this.

Okay, so speaking of fic I'm supposed to write, it turns out Rufio didn't die, but instead left Never-Never Land, moved to Missouri, grew up, and now delivers pizza and eats lunch at my favorite Mexican restaurant.

It was so odd to see a Rufio look-alike. I need to buy Hook on dvd and get to work on that story. Somewhere I still have the novelization, too, I should pull it out. (Getting rid of books is bad! I hope I didn't get rid of it already.)

There's a novelization? And you might have gotten RID of it?!

I know! But I'm trying to make moving easier and I hadn't read it in years and -- I know. I'm a bad, bad fan. I am filled with shame now.

Oh, Lord. Have you seen this? http://imdb.com/title/tt0632543/ Fandoms collide!

Oh, man, that makes me want to write a crack-filled crossover. (Wait. I already do that. I have Buffy/Lilo & Stitch, why not add Hook to the mix too?) I watch that show all the time (I am such a sucker for anything with Lilo or Stitch), but I've not seen his episode, I don't think.

He's in But I'm a Cheerleader, which cracked me up when I saw it. Have you watched it? I highly recommend.

I love when fandoms collide!

Sweetie, are you still willing to write a backup for the [livejournal.com profile] oldschoolbtvs ficathon? Lemme know.

Thanks,
C

Yes, absolutely. Just send the assignment my way. (Email is escritoireazul@gmail.com if you don't have it handy.)

I received the prompt and I can write it! I'm actually quite excited about it, thank you!

Fantastic! I'm so thrilled you like the prompt; I was a little concerned that it wouldn't be a good match. Again, thank you so much for doing this; you're a life saver!
