ongoing help needed

I'm looking for an information source, preferably a someone (as opposed to a site or book, but that would work too) I can ask all sorts of questions about guns. Questions like, "I need [gun a] to do [this], [this], and [this], which gun would work best?" This is for original writing, not fanfic, but I would be so appreciative and willing to work an exchange for the information (writing, editing, something else).

One of my brothers is good with guns, but kind of hard to get ahold of sometimes.




I love Bones, by the way. Each episode makes me happier and I realize I love it.

The Straight Dope Message Boards (http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/) have a lot of gun experts. Like, people who know every little crazy thing, and do a lot of shooting, or have been in the military, or are foreign, or what have you. Worth a free guest post, maybe. I don't have an account there anymore, or I would search the archives for you. You could go back chronologically as far as you want in General Questions and In My Humble Opinion (maybe even Cafe Society) and just search the titles for guns or rifles or revolvers.
