give me a title, I'll tell you a tale: The Fast and the Furious, BtVS, Lost, and Blue Crush
More of that title game, where you give me one and I tell you what the story would be about if I did write it. (And, okay, odds are I will write most of these.) Still time to play if you have any more title suggestions.
Previous ones: "Whiskey Moon" (BtVS/Harry Potter), "Out of Time" (Lost), "Hustle & Flow" (BtVS/AtS), "OneStop Sales" (BtVS), "Not a Pizza Hangover" (Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants), "Blank Note" (Lost/BtVS), "Two Regrets and One Farewell" (Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants), "Daisycutter Blues" (Far From Xanadu), and "Toes to the North" (X-Men movieverse).

"Drive By"
This is definitely a The Fast and the Furious story, about Letty and Mia, and the way, before Letty turns sixteen, she wants Dominic but can't have him, so instead she takes cars and Mia, the two of them left out, ignored by the guys, and unable to legally drive. There's lots of stolen kisses, and Mia wanting romance, and Letty being distracted whenever Dominic comes around, which makes Mia try harder to be good enough, to be sweet enough, to just plain be enough for Letty, even though it is painfully obvious Mia is Letty's experiment, the way she marks time until she's old enough to catch Dom's attention.
(I talk more about Letty and Mia and the way they relate in this essay about femslash in TFatF, and why I'd like to see this story and others written.)
"Mis(take)n"
This is season three Buffy/Faith, right around "Bad Girls" (I think that's the episode title), when Faith knows it's not right, the way she winds up Buffy, the way she's jealous and wants her all the same, the way she wants to take over Buffy's life, her role as the good Slayer, good friend, good daughter, and at the same time all she wants is to take Buffy, plain and simple. It's layered, it's a mistake, it's all about the single female (the "miss") taking, it's about being taken in without realizing it, it's not a linear story, but back and forth, distance and microscopic.
"Love and War"
Can I write fanfic for my own original writing? No? Okay then.
This is a Lost story about Ana-Lucia (who else) and Locke. It has some clever play on love, where it's not romantic love at all, but something I can't think of right now, otherwise I would be writing it instead of doing this. Of course it's layered, so there is some devious love going on between Ana-Lucia and Locke, and the war is layered and has multiple meanings, the war with the Others for which Jack wants to prepare an army, the "war" between Jack and Locke (despite their tentative truce), the war between Ana-Lucia andthe Lost fandom the rest of the survivors, etc. etc. It's them plotting, and Locke giving strange examples, and Ana-Lucia trying to embrace her outsider status and the way she's not trusted.
"What I'm Trying to Say (Is Not What You're Hearing)"
This is a Blue Crush story, after the movie and after the football players have all left (because there's no way they're staying, not and give up that kind of money). Anne Marie is trying to make something of surfing, and trying to keep Penny in school (which is even harder now, because obviously surfing can take you places, and Penny thinks she can just find a good surfer boy and ride his success [and him] on to a comfortable life), and she's lonely, because Matt's gone.
And there, as always, is Eden. Encouraging, fighting, supporting, understanding, working to pay rent so Anne Marie can chase her dreams.
Everyone else knows, Eden's in love with Anne Marie. Maybe if she can find the right words, though Eden's not so good with English and grammar (except for that whole present tense thing), Anne Marie will know too. Maybe if she does things just right, Anne Marie might even love her back.
This remains the most fun meme in the world.

Anyway, I'm always so torn about writing Letty/Mia. Or any femslash involving a Michelle character really. I always wonder if it's the character that is slashy, or if I'm superimposing my view of Michelle's slashiness onto them. But then I read things like this and go, "No, it's not just me." Which makes everything shiny, and makes me wish I had more drive to write myself just to do something that's not often done.
And yes, I did just wander off in a tangentially related direction. I sincerely hope you get around to writing the Blue Crush and tFatF stories. Because they intrigue me.
