So I finally, finally finished the last season, and laugh-cried my way through the second half, especially that series finale. I already know I need to rewatch the entire show again, because I need to build up to that third season one more time; I've never managed to get more than an episode or two into it after that season two ending, but I did, and it left me clutching my hands together over my heart, tears in my eyes, laughter on my lips. What a wonderful, satisfying last season and finale.

I think I may need to ask for this for Yuletide again next year. I want so many stories. (I may even try my hand at writing it, though this sort of fandom doesn't play to my strengths.)

Such a good show. My heart, my heart, my heart.

Those are the best-worst shows, few and far between that evoke that level of emotion!

I agree! It was great, but also heartbreaking, especially because it is now done. (Though, I see in comments there will be a movie, which is !!! and also ??? because I worry it won't capture the warmth of the show.)

Yeah, especially since a lot of exposition and character development are the first things cut when producers try to condense a movie storyline for time.

And yeah, it was a great finale, and they did such good things in it and left the characters in places I didn't expect and yet worked so well.

Weird fun fact for you! Somewhere I have half a draft where Abigail gets bitten by a werewolf and has to try and reconcile her lycanthropy and her dance ambitions. XD God knows what teenaged me was up to, but I'll see if I can dig it out for you.

I think I was happiest with where Christian ended up, because it is perfect for him, except no, wait, I cried real tears for Ollie and Abigail (WHICH, HOW MUCH DO I LOVE THE FRIENDSHIP THAT BUILT BETWEEN THEM OMG SO MUCH), and GRACE! I did not expect to like Grace that much! And KAT OMG KAT. And Tara still rising up to dance no matter what happens -- I am dying, and need to rewatch the series finale immediately, it seems.

Tara being the new girl in this case? She must smell amazing on many levels because she's from a sheep station. Like, all those woolly meals pressing against her. Plus, you know, Tara is Tara.

But I could totally be into Tara's journey from wide-eyed prey animal towards great loping predator. Whereas Grace as wolf, totally different but so interesting too.

I am here for you. I can teach you things you need to know, like we put beetroot in our hamburgers.

Yes, I was definitely think of Tara as the new girl there because of the sheep smell that lingers, and her wide-eyed prey innocence, but now I want a story about Tara learning to be a werewolf, too. I wonder if there's a limit to how many Dance Academy werewolf stories I can outline. (Spoiler: NOPE. Whether they get written or not is still to be seen.)

I too have so many feelings about this show! It'll probably land in the rewatch queue soon, never mind the masses of stuff already there. I'm looking forward to the movie!
