Day 12: your favorite website this year

I don't really have one, but here are a handful of websites I love. (Not including DW/LJ, where I have been reading and posting more.)

+ Puzzle Baron's Logic Puzzles

I find logic puzzles incredibly satisfying, and often do them to relax before bed or when I'm very stressed. Which is a lot of the time.

+ Hulu and Netflix, where we do all of our tv watching.

+ 2048

A numbers game that is also soothing and satisfying, but can lead to me being obsessive, so I try not to play it too much. But it is just -- all those numbers, and they match up in set ways, and it is wonderful.

+ Gmail, for most of my communication needs.

Fandom: Yuletide 2015 Progress

I am not doing so well, mental health-wise, and I know I am posting so much, writing so much for Yuletide, because I am using the words to stay ahead of the wave of terrible that is crashing over me. This year has really, really sucked, but so did last year, and the year before that, and the year before that. Starting with Mom's death in 2012, everything has just been a giant ball of fire and awfulness, and I can't manage to drag myself back up that cliff.

Pinch Hit: 3000 words, old fandom, posted
Treat #1: 1500 words, new fandom, outlined (probably another 2000 words, but I'm stuck on the story I planned to tell, and need to consider a different option)
Treat #2: 3500 words, old fandom, posted (still considering a second half that will be another 5000 words, maybe)
Treat #3: 200 words, old fandom, outlined (still not really appropriate for Yuletide, probably should write this as a gift fic next year sometime)
Treat #4: 0 words, old fandom, brainstorming (this looks like it won't happen due to outside circumstances)
Treat #5: 1500 words, old fandom, posted
Treat #6: 3500 words, old fandom, posted
Treat #7: 1500 words, old fandom, posted
Treat #8: 300 words, new fandom, outlined (probably another 1500 words)

So that's six stories posted, more than 23k words posted. Last year, I posted eight stories, more than 22k words. So more words this year, but so far, fewer stories. I'm glad to have both my assignment and my pinch hit done, and I will be focusing on treats from here on out. (Well, that and editing the stories I've posted, which I'll do a couple times before reveals.) A couple of the treats in the list above just aren't going to happen, so I'm going to take another look at the letters I flagged for treating purposes, and see what I can do.

And meanwhile, behind me it hunts.
