Summary: Harry doesn't even know how to start.

This is kind of heartbreaking, Harry trying to tell Teddy about his parents. It's painful and lovely all at once.

"A Second Breath (The Jacob's Ladder Remix)"

Summary: Her skin is smooth once more, pale, unmarked, but bones don’t forget, and neither does Luna.

This is heartwrenching, and beautiful, and I mourned the end because I didn't want to stop reading this lovely, lovely world. Luna's voice here is perfection, and the characters so very true to themselves.

"Goldfish Bowl (Glass Houses Remix)"

Summary: It's hard being normal in the goldfish bowl.

Bobby's characterization is amazing here, and there are perfect little bits of his obsession with Rogue's skin which reminds me so much of the eroticism of Fingersmith it took away my breath.

[writing] birthday fic part two

Birthday fic is 3100 words and counting. Unfortunately, it's not really going anywhere. I have this set-up I love, and no real point to it all. Maybe I can just leave it as Ooooh, shiny and be done with it? Do you think?

Damn it. Now I have to buckle down and make the characters be all logical and in character and shit.

First I have to sleep. Just over twenty-four hours until my final.

[writing] birthday fic part three

This story has eaten my brain. Forty-five hundred words and counting. I need to head to bed soon, but it's been a relaxing evening, despite the fact I have a final in the morning. I studied, I cleaned, I went for a walk, and I wrote. A balanced evening.

I want to keep writing, especially because I think this story is almost done.

I also want to go visit friends and go drinking, not study for finals. That's obviously not going to happen either.

The full moon was gorgeous this month. Just absolutely breathtaking.

Because I really dislike what I'll be studying after tomorrow's final, I'll want new things to write. Help distract a procrastinating student!
