[fandom] Being Human and Fast and the Furious franchise
No, I'm not crossing them over. (Yet. I have to admit, now I'm thinking about it and I'm tempted. Could be a continuation of "Wolf Woman Wild" I suppose.) But I'm watching Being Human via On Demand and so in between episodes, I get to see On Demand's obsession with Fast and the Furious franchise today. I love catching snippets of Vin Diesel's voice.
Holy fuck, this show is kind of amazing, isn't it? I didn't think I'd love Annie's story, because it focuses so much on her relationship with her boyfriend, but it's really so much bigger and better than I expected.
And I love Nina. Love her so much and I actually kinda want her to become a werewolf.
And the vampires. I didn't expect to love them so much, but then again, of course I should have known. Politics of vampires! Being manipulative and creepy! Fantastic.
Annie practicing to haunt Owen almost made me weep with laughter. She's adorable!
Also I really like the soundtrack.
ETA I would love it if Annie was less screaming and flailing during a fight, but I suppose not everyone grows up unafraid of fights. And I love that George and Annie are both kind of failing at being badass.
And the Star of David thing is fantastic!
Historical precedence being smoke and mirrors, they just want to kill. Hello, Mitchell, welcome to the system of law and order. Hee.
I'll admit, though it's everywhere these days, I love vampires keeping humans as food crops. LOVE IT. Harvesting for their blood.
Annie's little speech about the monsters in the darkness and her warnings about them hunting Owen to the ends of the earth was fantastically creepy! I actually got chills.
Her scene saying good-bye made me want to cry. I was seeing sparks between her and Mitchell but now I think there's some threesome potential.

I really like this older woman thing Mitchell has going on. Not that she's old, and not that she's older than him, either, but she's definitely older than most women in vampire stories. I love it!
