[fic Supernatural/The Lost Boys] Little Girl Lost, Missouri/Star

Title: Little Girl Lost
Author: Carla ([livejournal.com profile] escritoireazul)
Fandom(s): Supernatural and The Lost Boys
Setting: Post-The Lost Boys, vaguely after season one of Supernatural
Rating: All ages
Prompt: con
Written for: [livejournal.com profile] writercon100, a fundraiser for Writer Con 2009

Summary: A fortune-teller can't get anything past a mind reader.

“It’s a rip-off.” She’s a pretty little thing, dark curly hair all wild around her face and arms full of bangles. She sweeps her hair out of her face with both hands and grins. “You want your fortune told, I’ll do it.”

“You’re sweet.” Missouri smiles. “What’s your name?”

“Star.” There’s an echo of history under the word.

“I don’t take favors from vampires, Star.”

Fear flashes across her face and she jerks, her sparkly skirt swirling. “I’m not – that. I’m not.”

It’s a con, it must be, but her thoughts are sincere.

“Tell me everything, sweetheart.”

And she does.

I'm glad you liked it! There will definitely be more; I'm writing the back story to "Fortunetelling" (http://escritoireazul.livejournal.com/215857.html) as drabbles for the fundraiser. For some reason, I've absolutely fallen in love with the idea of Missouri and Star.

This is lovely! Missouri has a ferocious instinct for truth.

Thank you! I adore Missouri and that's a perfect way to describe her.

Missouri . . . I could've done with more of her in the series, and glad to see her, here. Love the wariness and compassion of her.
