[fic rec] Blue Crush, Baby-Sitters Club
HAPPY YULETIDE DAY!
I got two stories. TWO FABULOUS, AMAZING STORIES WHICH STOLE MY BREATH AND MY WORDS.
I don't even have the words to properly thank my authors yet, though I'm working on finding them.
Links!
1. "Breathing Underwater"; Blue Crush; Eden/Anne Marie
I literally, literally stopped breathing while reading this, it was so exactly what I wanted for Eden and Anne Marie. The details! And the way their relationship changes! And the surfing! Did I mention the details? Just thinking about it makes my chest tight.
2. "What Bisexuals Do In Bed"; The Baby-Sitters Club; Dawn/Abby
You guys! It's Dawn and Abby! And Kristy being her blunt, slightly annoying self! And bisexual women! And it's sweet and funny and oh, exactly what I wanted for them. And, also, the title is so close to a short story I abandoned last year that I am amused and slightly disturbed.
The slightly disturbed is because both of these stories read as if the author(s) opened up my head and pulled the important details straight from my brain. I couldn't have received better stories if I had sat down and outlined them myself. In fact, these are better than anything I could have done, and I am so, so, so happy right now.
Happy Yuletide Day. It is amazing.
