Fandom: Yuletide

Apparently I missed some Yuletide wank while I was away from the internet and oh my god. Why, Yuletide, why? And apparently I am in a mindset where I want to comment on it, even a week or so later, which is stupid because a) that's adding to the wank and b) this is my fun holiday tradition. I can ignore the rank, so probably I should, and just enjoy it.

But dear god, sometimes the entitlement of people makes me have various frustrated responses - tonight's was head desking and eye rolling.

Is it just me or has there been a lot more This is How you MUST do Yuletide or You Will FAIL? this year? Dude.

In other Yuletide news, I still haven't been able to track down part of my source material. This is frustrating. I know the story will click at some point, I'm just waiting for that moment, and reviewing the source material is one of the things I do to pass the time until that happens.

I'm beginning to think I'll need to put out a call for help to my flist when it comes to the source material.

Fandom: Commercials Which Deserve Fic

I'm just going to link to this, because I'm too lazy to embed and it's already done over there, but wizefics and I were discussing commercials which deserve fic and she's posted about them, complete with embedded videos. The Bing one is probably my favorite commercial right now. It airs a lot during The Vampire Diaries, of course, and every time I see it, I'm tempted to write fic.
