Fandom: Yuletide

While I am (impatiently) waiting for Yuletide assignments to arrive, I have been reading some source material I am considering for Yuletide Madness, even if it ends up not being my main assignment. This is fun and relaxing.

I am also thinking about fandoms to request next year. I think I'm going to request Never Cry Werewolf fic, even though this year I thought it might be too much of a longshot. Between then and now, I'll maybe even write a fandom manifesto or something. (The dvd cover on the wiki page is actually kinda awesome. I want that one.)

In addition, I'm struck with the desire to request Mommy, Why is There a Server in the House? Helping Your Child Understand the Stay-at-Home Server, all about girls and their servers.

Fandom: Yuletide

Uh. Well.

This year, the archive won't open for uploading until December. Generally I am scrambling the night before the deadline to finish the final edit of the story. Once, the final writing of the story.

After a couple hours research and writing (and being distracted by Blue Crush which is on in the background and is so much fun!), I just broke 1000 words on the first draft of my first Yuletide 2009 story. Maybe I won't be a last minute author this time! WOO. \O/

Maybe I should try to set a Yuletide story goal. Like, between my assignment, any pinch hits, and Yuletide Madness, I want to write five stories. Or ten. Or whatever. (Probably five, since I managed that last year. But maybe not.)

I am exhausted, though, and may be headed to bed shortly. I can go read more source material for a potential project.
