[fandom] Letter to my Remixer

Okay, so the next time I get in from a late flight and can't sleep, I need to remember NOT to watch a beautiful and heartbreaking movie. Good grief. What was I thinking? I know how much Bridge to Terabithia hurts, I had all this fear that the movie wouldn't be as painful as the book, but oh, it is. It really is. So now it is almost four a.m. and my heart is broken and I still can't sleep.

Anyway. On to much more fun topics.



Dear Remixer,

Hi! remix_redux is one of my favorite fandom times of the year. I am looking forward to seeing whatever you wish to write. I qualified in a couple of fandoms this year, so I don't know which we have in common, but I will love whatever you do.

Just some brief things I like, in case we don't know each other:

+ Girl slash. I love lesbians and bisexual women together. I am particularly fond of girl slash in fandoms where fandom focuses on boy slash (see, e.g. The Fast and the Furious), but just about any girl slash works for me.
+ I like werewolves. A lot. Probably more than is healthy. Lately all I have been craving is werewolf fiction, actually, so much so that I've had to start obsessively rereading and rewatching my favorites because I can't find enough new.
+ I also love high school fic beyond the telling of it, particularly boarding school stories.
+ Fandom specific:
- Buffy the Vampire Slayer: My favorite characters are Faith and the Slayer from "The Chain".
- X-Men: My favorite characters in all versions of the X-Men are Beast, Colossus, and Gambit. In XMM I absolutely adore Rogue and Kitty.
- Michelle Rodriguez's characters are my favorites across the board.

My fic archive is here, though I'm sure you already got the link in your assignment. (I just lost far too much time staring at my pretty, pretty header. My fic archive is so shiny!)

Seriously, though, I will love whatever you write. I can't wait to see it!

I know it's not the same, but I can practically guarantee there will be a need for pinch hitters. You could talk to musesfool about it.

(I would be so sad and frustrated if I missed the deadline. It's one of my favorite parts of fandom life.)
