Apparently the Day O' Gay has become the Day O' Gay Plus Michelle Rodriguez. Yeah.

I've never watched the "Click Click Boom" video included in the extras, even though I love the song. (Yeah, I love cheesy horror and cheesy, angry music. I'm easy to please.)

Today has also turned into the day where I don't go to the gym. Oops. I got caught up in my movie watching.

This video makes me want to go to a concert. Not necessarily a Saliva concert, but something outdoors with fights and lots of people. (This is not something I normally want, though I'm more likely to be able to deal with people when I'm at a concert.)

Even though I've seen this movie a ton, I might have some thoughts. Doubt it, but maybe.



Thanks to the ads at the beginning, I really want to watch Jurassic Park right now. Actually, I'd like to see the whole trilogy, but I only own the first one. Man, I love those velociraptors.

I really, really love Mia. She flirts in such a fun way. Plus she's all pushy with Brian's magazine.

(Pardon me. I think I may be passing out from the lack of oxygen at the first shot of Dominic.)

Oh goddamn. The first shot of Letty is. Gah. Just. Attitude out the ass.

JESSE! I love you Jesse!

They all really do act like a family, the group of them, picking on each other, touching each other, the way they shove and argue and yeah. I really like the way they interact.

Jesse thinks Brian's beautiful. It makes me laugh.

I really like the use of this song here. They do a good job with the soundtrack.

Mmmm, fighting. I love when people fight. Also Dom's calm under the face of his sister's anger.

And how he hops to when Letty calls him on it.

Mia and Letty have some looks throughout this scene. It pleases the Mia/Letty shipper in me.

"You embarrass me." That's one of my favorite lines. Dom's opinion is important to Vince, to all of them.

I really, really hate the truck Brian drives. (I assume it's Harry's.) I hate trucks like that. Ugly and low and just plain wrong.

I kind of feel bad for Harry, he's put in a really bad position, stuck between the cops and Dom's family.

Man, the cars are pretty. I don't even like most of them, would never drive them, but oh, yeah, they're beautiful.

I love this song, too. (Rolling, not do it fast, do it furious.)

Hector's hot. (And was in Angel, apparently. I never knew.) I like him.

They're the Family of racing. I like that.

Damn, Dominic is hot. As is Letty. Who is also bitchy. I like hot and bitchy and rough.

"Letty, I was just talking."
"Yeah, whatever."

I love how she treats him.

I also love how Mia watches Dom throughout that scene. She says he's the center of everyone else's world, but he's kind of the center of hers, too. Even when Brian's trying to talk his way into the race, she keeps glancing at Dom.

Dude! In this scene, Letty touches Mia's face, turns it toward her and away from Brian (and Dom). Um. Yeah. I just...yeah. How did I notice this before? I love how I can watch some movies a hundred times and still find new things which fill me with glee.

Letty's wearing a skirt. I never noticed that, either, I always thought it was leather trousers. I have a story idea brewing, Letty and Mia before the race.

Jesse, you're so cute, the way you cheer.

Mia and Letty standing together. I love the way they stay close.

Hee! Brian's nervous, he crossed the line too early. Dominic looks so disgusted by him. You can just see him thinking, Idiot.

I really like the different ways the guys prep for the race. (Though I would have liked to see a woman racing, too.)

I love this scene, too, as we rush through the inner workings of the car.

God. Dom looks so good driving, that arm and the muscles and oh. Yeah, hot.

I think I've finally come to terms with the fact this movie is all about the lust for me. Dom lust. Letty lust. Mia lust. Dom/Letty lust. Mia/Letty lust. Car lust. Yeah.

(Okay, to be honest, it also makes me miss street racing, even though I never did anything that complex. My little Volkswagen used to smoke the main drag here, though. J.'s Monte Carlo used to get some nice speed, too.)

Ha, Brian, don't own it if you can't drive it! Idiot. (You know, I say that far too often in real life, too. It just blows my mind how many people can't handle the vehicles they buy.)

Oh, Jesse looks so upset about what Brian did to the car. Poor kid really loves cars.

I love how Jesse is the Mad Scientist.

Wow. There are a lot of short people in the street racing group. That or they purposely shot Brian and Dom as being really tall.

Who does Mia get in the car with when the cops show up? Is that Letty? It doesn't really look like it, but it is a girl, I think. Who?

I really want Dominic's coat.

Nice drift there, Brian. You're much better at defensive driving than racing, you know?

Hee. Cars versus motorcycles. (Even if they are crappy, crappy motorcycles. Crotch rockets, ugh. Almost as bad as Choppers.)

That makes me want a The Lost Boys/The Fast and the Furious crossover. I've talked about it before, the way some of the dynamics are similar in the movies. (Brian = Michael, okay, and Dominic = David. I guess that means Mia = Star. Jesse = Laddie, maybe? Leon = Paul. No, it's definitely Jesse = Marko. Vince /= Dwayne, he talks way too much, but I never said the comparison was perfect. Hey! Letty = Dwayne. Just go with it, okay? Okay.)

Nitrous makes for pretty fire.

When Dom slept with Tran's sister, do you think it was before Letty? I can't really see her putting up with him sleeping around, but I don't know. Maybe that was during the whole he didn't notice her stage.

Mia is so pretty when she's relaxed and studying. Good for her, putting her studies first, over the party. I'm pleased.

Vince is kind of hot, playing guitar. I, um, may have a thing for guitars.

Wait, is Letty wearing leather shorts or a skirt? (For a second, I fear she was wearing a leather skort, and she would have lost all her cool.)

God, I want a Corona. I had a couple last night, but they were old, and I had no limes. Just not the same as a fresh, cold, tart beer with the bite of the lime. Now I also want tequila.

Jesse didn't go upstairs, he's still dancing in the doorway. I snorted with laughter.

Dom is so, so whipped.

I love how they all live together, Jesse has a room upstairs, the others are always there, and Mia beats on them like they were her brothers. Nice. She has really awesome hair, too.

Wait, Brian gets Mia a Snapple? When she asks for a drink? Weird. (I like that she drives him home, though. She takes care of people. I like that about her.)

Jesse is so cute when he gets excited about cars. So cute. Man, I love them all in the garage. (I also like how Dom says garage.)

Mmmm. Car parts are hot. Also, Jesse being car and computer smart is hot. (He's also fun in Supernatural as the smart computer guy.) (Also, he's hot here, with the nail polish and the cigarettes and the scary smart math brain.)

Oh, family dinner! I love family dinner. Holy hell, and also Letty's leather trousers.

Yum. I wish to BBQ now.

Dom and Mia hugging is sweet. It made me smile. So does the fact that they say grace, and that Mia and Letty sit together. (Jesse's prayer is awesome. Praying to the car gods indeed.)

"He's always hungry." That look, from Letty. This is kind of an incestuous little family, yeah?

I like how Mia includes Letty in "the boys". Also how she calls Vince "V". Nice. And the way she completely fucks with Vince. She's mean.

In some lights, Hector's car is the color of shit. Not cool, Hector.

(This really is like The Lost Boys. There's even a Maria character working at Harry's. Brian tells Hector not to think about her. Who is she?)

Nice Pitch Black move by Dominic. Vin Diesel is good at those characters in the shadow moments.

I really like how Vince knows Brian is a cop. (I still haven't found the original post where I talked about TLB/TFatF, but this is the scene where it first hit me that Brian = Michael.)

"Dom, we got a wolf pack." Jesse, I love you.

Also I love men with guns. Not as much as women with guns, but still a lot.

(Commentary lacking throughout here because I'm looking for that TLB/TFatF entry.)

"You break her heart I'll break your neck." Oh, Dom. You love Mia, even if you treat her like she should take care of the house.

Dom, you say nothing else matters but the racing, not your team, but you sure are protective of them, of your home, of your life.

I like the history of the team, too. Mia's fun as a storyteller. That's a tiny bit of bitterness there, when she says Dom always had Letty's attention and then she had his when she turned sixteen.

"Dom's like--he's, he's like gravity. Everything gets pulled to him."

That's another of my favorite lines.

These next scenes, where the cops are moving on Tran and it's intercut with scenes of the gang working on cars, and then Letty and Dom in the garage, these are some of my favorites. I love it all, especially the music. Especially the hotness of Dom and Letty.

(Anyone know what the song is? Found it. "Debonaire" by Dope. Anyone have it?)

They really screw over Tran's family, don't they? I actually feel a bit sorry for him, his family looks so happy there at dinner.

Dom and Letty together might possibly be the hottest het couple in the world. I just -- damn. The hot has melted my brain.

I also need "Superstar" by Saliva.

I'm going to pretend that, on their drive with the new car, Dom and Brian made it all the way up near Santa Cruz, which is Santa Carla in The Lost Boys. I love this scene between them, when Brian calls Dom on his money and Dom just looks so -- on edge. Also the way Dom shushes him. And eats shrimp. (Yeah, I never thought that would be hot, but -- yeah.)

Yay, cute fat woman at Race Wars. That pleases me.

Mountains in the background. I really, really miss California.

Letty racing is beyond hot.

(Hey, it might have been Letty's car when Mia got away from the cops. I'm going to say yes. Also, how much do I hate that Letty's car is pink? A lot.)

She looks almost orgasmic as she wins. I would be, too. Damn.

Jesse is so cute. So, so cute!

Oh, yeah, fighting. I love fighting. I love Vin Diesel fighting. Now I wish to watch Knockaround Guys, but up next on my list for the Day O' Gay Plus Michelle Rodriguez is Blue Crush. Hmmm. Decisions, decisions.

Parties and dancing around bonfires. I miss those days.

Mia's look of betrayal when Brian tells her the truth -- it cuts deep. I wish she would have really hit him, not just shoved him a little.

I like how everyone knows there's something wrong with the job, and Dom just won't listen. If he'd just open his eyes, if he'd just listen to his team, his family.

That look Letty gives Dom at the end, when he tells her he loves her, she looks so betrayed, so broken. I love the themes of betrayal in this movie, and trust, and being stubborn.

Dom's look of betrayal when Brian's on the phone as a cop, that's gorgeous. His body's so tight and the twitch in the muscles along his jaw and the way he looks at Mia, as if she could have betrayed him, too, and even then she looks at him, she's desperate to show him she's on his side still, always.

Yeah, for someone who says racing comes before his family, he sure is worried about Jesse.

Oh, this next part makes me want to cry. I just -- god, Jesse, get down. GET DOWN! *whimper*

Dom runs through the fire to get to Jesse. Mia runs to him, sobs. Dom's so broken over it, and then so angry. Brian's angry. They're Brian's family, too.

Dom, dirty and sweaty and in his father's car. Good lord, this movie is made of hot.

I remember the first time I watched this movie, I waited the entire film for that shot of Dom's car flipping. The trailer played it up so much, I wanted it earlier, and didn't get it. Dom has lost his father's car. Jesse lost his father's car. Dom has lost his family. I love that theme, too.

I love the little bit at the end, after the credits. I also love being able to skip ahead to it. Oh, Dom. I would go to Baja with you and drink Coronas in the sun.

Cut scenes.

I love that Dom is the one who wants Mia to be a doctor. Also that she calls Brian on his sexism.

Jesse staying up all night to think about the car, awesome.

God. Shirtless guys, sun, Coronas, car parts -- that looks a lot like heaven. Plus they're talking about learning how to drive. I wish this scene hadn't been cut, it's gorgeous. Jesse makes me laugh. They're all just good together, they play off each other well.

Mia: That's my beach and my ocean.

Woman, I understand how that feels. I love you.

Dude, how did I not know I could choose to just watch the scenes where the songs are located? Do you know how many times I rewound to watch the part with "Debonaire"? A lot. Too much.


I've now gotten sucked into tagging some old entries, so, um, yeah. Good movie, though.
