fandom: remix redux authors announced
Hee. I was right. Can I call it or what? When you've been friends with someone for years and read her writing for as long, you just know. Thank you,
das_hydra, for writing the wonderful remix story for me!
To remind the rest of you out there, she wrote me a The Lost Boys remix story, Double Down (Be Kind, Please Rewind Remix) and you should all go read it.
I can now announce my remix, too.
I wrote sins of the flesh (the tastes like chicken remix), a remix of koanju's Sins of the Flesh. It's all about Remus Lupin and the summary is: Remus loves the taste of meat.
Many, many, many thanks to
kphoebe for the beta. You're amazing, darling, as a writer and as an editor. Thank you.

I'm honestly relieved you like it! I thought it was bad... With something so well known and respected as the Protector series, I was horrified of screwing it up. Other then that, everything came out of me as a reaction to my own readings of it... and we all know David is practically my muse at this point, so there's not much difference.
The remix title was easy. I've always had a strange bunch of memories of those stickers. The re-titling was harder; I was actually reading a book on a guy's month long Vegas trip and double-down kept getting brought up, and it just stuck.
*hugs*

It's wonderful. I don't know why you thought it was bad. I'm amazed that you tackled one of the Protector Series stories just because of the length (though Second Chances is fairly short) and you made it so much better than the original story. Amazing.
Double-down just sounds fun to say. I like that.
*big hugs*
