I enjoy IM2, too. Not as much as the other two in the trilogy but I still like it.
I think the most brilliant thing Marvel ever did was casting Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. Tony is so easy to hate because of the smarminess and the privilege and the arrogance, but RDJ brings such vulnerability to the role. He's not your typical, macho, toxic masculinity hero. His behaviour can be toxic, yes (literally, in this movie, as he's being poisoned to death) but it's not tied to his masculinity or his pride. Instead, it's tied to his pain and fear and sense of helplessness, and RDJ plays all of that SO WELL. His Tony is brimming over with emotion, and that's what makes him relatable and loveable.
