If it helps (this is mildly spoilery about Grant, so don't look at the rest of this paragraph if that matters to you)-- I don't think they're trying to redeem Grant. I mean, they still could go that way, but the end of the season made it look pretty clear that he damned well doesn't want to be.

As to the men of color, I've got nothing. I have heard that the actor playing Trip needed to leave due to another job, but they could have done a lot better by him in letting him go. I think Mack is going to be a regular next season, but lord knows what they'll do to him. I don't trust them.
