[fandom] comic books
Okay, so while we have an actual comic book store now (well, it's a sci-fi/fantasy bookstore, comic book store, gaming store combo, which works for me normally), not only does it not participate in Free Comic Book Day (come on!), but it didn't have Buffy season eight #3 or Supernatural Originals #1. Again I say COME ON!
I'm not even buying the Buffy comic, but my sister is, and I was so excited that she would do her first comic book from an actual comic book store purchase, but no. (Last week, when she bought Buffy #1 and #2 we were at the local book store. The only actual book store in town, though there are three used book stores within three blocks of each other on Pine St. Plus I guess the comic/games/book store also kind of counts.)
I don't buy individual issues of comics anymore (no room for storage + lots of moving in the future = comics are a bad idea), I wait for the trade paperback collections, but I would have purchased Origins. Damn it.
Plus free comics would have been nice, too. Maybe Ann Arbor will have a good comic book store.
(Five minutes until I can leave work! Yay! I am so tired. However, I am in love with the section of that post-Chosen fic I wrote today. It's my favorite crossover from the second part.)
