I haven't read any interviews (I don't normally seek out author interviews, so I rarely have any sort of author spoilers), and I've only read up through the third book (though I have the fourth one here to read), so I'm mostly basing it off of my initial impressions of DDW and TGTB&TU. I would be thrilled to see even strong subtext, unlike the other books in this genre. Except I know I'll want more as soon as I get that, because subtext, as rare as it is, happens much more often than a gay POV character, which is what I'd really like.
(I know, I know, if you don't find something you like, write it yourself. I am doing that, too, but I don't get much of a kick out of reading my own stories. I'd still love to read books besides my own which deal with it.)
I definitely understand the links versus recs. Thank you.
