[tv on dvd] buffy season two

Just got back from watching Buffy with A. and B. (Dude, I just realized--A., B., and C. were watching Buffy. I maybe need some sleep, because that's hilarious.) Anyway, we're on season two, and today we reached "What's My Line". We watched part one and then, though it was late, A. demanded we watch part two because she couldn't stand the cliff hanger.

I think I'll set it up so she can only watch part one of "Becoming". Torture is fun. And then I'll take a break before season three.

It's actually a lot of fun to watch the episodes with people who have never seen them before. It makes me look at them with fresh eyes, too, though I've seen them so often. It also inspired me to order the seasons of Angel I was missing, so that when we get there, we can watch each Buffy episode with the Angel ep that aired that week.

Now I need to go to sleep. J., A., and I are supposed to go to breakfast in three hours, plus there's a party tomorrow night. I'm already yawning.

I am liking your plan: It's nice to bring new people to the fandom, and when that fandom is Whedonverse... wow.

It really is nice to introduce people to a new fandom, and especially with it being Buffy, because back when it was new, everyone I knew online already watched it and no one offline was interested, so this is a fun change, to have someone so excited about it.

(In later seasons of both Buffy and Angel, J. started watching it with me, and he became rather fond of Spike, but it wasn't the same, he didn't have all the canon knowledge from earlier episodes, and he kept asking me questions instead of watching them for himself.)

A. was a pretty easy convert, she already loved Firefly and Serenity, so convincing her to give Buffy a try didn't take much. Now she's addicted and can't stop watching it.
